About Us

Newco NDT is a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business specialized in providing clients with nondestructive testing (NDT) products and services including consulting, design, assembly, and installation services in all NDT disciplines. We have developed and installed systems for clients across the most demanding industries ranging from aerospace to national defense, and every industry in between where quality assurance of products and equipment components is critical for safety and success. Our knowledgeable staff and “customer first” attitude have made Newco a respected leader in the NDT industry. Our long-term commitment to NDT service excellence is evident in our client experience.

ABOUT US

Mike Alton

PRESIDENT

Mike Alton, the President of Newco and a US Air Force veteran, has over 31 years of experience in the NDT industry. He developed his expertise in NDT while employed in the Paper Mill Industry, Fossil Fuel Plants, Commercial and Military Aviation Repair Stations, and Aircraft Manufacturing Facilities. Mike’s proficiency in multiple NDT modalities coupled with his extensive network of associates in the industry produced a natural transition into sales of NDT equipment. He enjoyed 9 years as an accomplished sales management professional for GE Inspection Technologies, a world leader in advanced non-destructive imaging. His accomplishments include Level III Certifications in RT, UT, MT, PT, and ET. In addition, he also holds an Airframe and Powerplant license.

Troy Molnar

CORPORATE SALES MANAGER

Troy Molnar is 31-year veteran of the United States Air Force. While in the Air Force he completed advanced degrees in Strategic Studies, Hospital Administration and Airpower Studies. He started his career as a Non-Destructive Inspection Technician where he first met Mike Alton. Over the years he held numerous leadership positions to include directing a $5B supply chain, a world-wide IT system, and squadron and group command. He has a record of excellence in decision-making, policy direction, strategic business planning, financial and human resource management, manpower, administrative procedures, supply chain operation, contract management, federal acquisition, program management, and information management. Troy joined Newco at the request of its owner and president, Mike Alton, to help expand and optimize our partners and business operations.

Liz Sohl

TECHNICAL SALES MANAGER TIRE INDUSTRY (NATIONWIDE)

Worked in the tire industry since 1988, mostly in the final finish area of a tire plant. She has a bachelor’s degree from University of Akron in Electrical Engineering and a MBA from Malone College. She started her career as an engineer working for Akron Standard which manufactures Tire Uniformity and Balancer equipment. She then worked at Allen Bradley programming PLC’s for various AB customers. After leaving AB, she worked as a Project Manager for LumenX, now known as Yxlon. She left Yxlon to join Newco as an Account Manager. Liz specializes in upgrading all Tire X-Ray Inspection Systems to the latest technology as well as helping these customers with any other NDT needs that they may have. Liz also represents Yxlon for new Tire Inspection Systems in North America.

Centrally located in the heart of the Pee Dee, Newco Inc.’s corporate headquarters is in Florence, South Carolina, and serves clients in the U.S., South America, and various countries worldwide.
